Private Pottery Events

Looking for something mindful and fun, creative and a little different? The Clay Station runs private pottery events in Lake Hayes, Queenstown | Or a venue that works for the event. Perfect for hens parties, birthdays, team days, staff functions and celebrations.

Choose your experience

In-studio (Lake Hayes): A relaxed hand-building session in my studio garage. This seats up to 10 people and you are welcome to bring food and drinks.

Mobile workshops: I can organise your workshop at a venue that suits your event. I have held this in many places around Queenstown and beyond. Some great spaces are Yonder, Little Mez, Kinross etc……. Or your air bnb.

What’s included

• Clay, tools, paint and guidance (beginner friendly)
• Choice of simple projects (mugs, jewellery dishes, pinch pots…) 
• Your pieces are fired and finished after the session (collection or delivery options available, takes up to 4 weeks to be completed)

Group size and timing

Private events are typically 2 - 2.5 hours.

Group sizes vary - tell me what you’re planning and I’ll suggest the best setup.

Pricing 

If the event is in studio it is $35 pp on a week day and $40 pp on the weekend.

If the event is at a venue it is $50 pp

Is it messy

Most people associate pottery with the wheel. When throwing on the wheel you use water which can be a bit messy. 

My workshops are all hand building so don’t use water which makes them a lot cleaner and less messy. All the creations are made and painted on a board each person gets. There may be a little clay dust which is easy to clean up. You are welcome to wear aprons but it is not necessary. All clay and paints will just come out in the wash if it goes anywhere it shouldn’t.
